Wes manages corporate direction and strategy at Bitfarms, facilitating company activity in capital markets, sales, marketing, strategic alliances and business development. Prior to Bitfarms, Wes led the financial institutions and fintech investment banking practice for one of Canada's largest financial institutions, Desjardins Group, and during his 12-year banking career has led over 100 successful financings and M&A transactions. Mr. Fulford is a CFA charterholder and has a B. Comm. (Honours) degree.
John is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) with over 20 years of business experience gained at global professional services firms and Fortune 500 companies. John began his career at KPMG LLP and PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP and for the past 7 years, John served as a senior finance executive at private equity portfolio companies owned by Brookfield Asset Management and Centerbridge Partners LLP. John is responsible for the overall financial governance, controls, planning and reporting of the Company and plays an essential role in the execution of all strategic initiatives.
Pierre-Luc, one of the founders of Bitfarms, recognized the importance of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies for the future. He is responsible for overseeing activities and developing strategy pertaining to the company's operations. He has over 20 years of experience building professional large-scale data centres and founded Globo.Tech Communications in 1999, while still attending high school. As an early adopter of broadband, the proliferation of digital content accessibility and the consumerization of the web, Globo.Tech made investments in critical internet infrastructures and provided various internet hosting solutions and DDoS mitigation far before these became well-known business models.
Nicolas is an Argentinian hotelier and real estate Investor. In 1998, Nicolas founded one of the first boutique hotel companies in Argentina named "Own Hotels" which has grown to 6 locations in the city of Buenos Aires and Montevideo, Uruguay. He took on the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors and strategic planification for the development of Bitfarms.
Emiliano is an Argentinian entrepreneur and businessman. He has been a business builder and innovator since his early teens, founding, incubating, and exiting interdisciplinary ventures in the design, food, and construction industries. In 2016, Emiliano discovered the world of cryptocurrencies and began to invest in and mine cryptocurrencies from Argentina. His vast business experience is put to good use at Bitfarms where he handles the company's vision and strategy.
Mathieu is a software wizard and internet entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience in designing, engineering, and scaling software and hardware internet technology ventures. After founding Bitfarms he took on the task of creating and maintaining everything related to code to support the advancement in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency for the company as CTO.
Anthony plans and leads the deployment and daily operations of the company's processing centers infrastructures and is an crucial part of Bitfarms' business development efforts. He has more than 15 years of experience in IT serving as Globo.Tech Chief Product Officer, specializing in the development of products related to cloud computing and virtualization.
Louis oversees Bitfarms' processing centers infrastructure design and global network engineering, deployment and operation. He has more than 7 years of experience in cryptocurrencies, blockchain technologies and system administration. After working with Pierre-Luc and Anthony at Globo.Tech he was the first to join Bitfarms since inception to lead the design and build of Bitfarms' processing centers.

bitfarms is different
Backbone Hosting Solutions Inc. completed the reverse acquisition of Bitfarms (TASE & OTC: BLLCF) (formerly Blockchain Mining Ltd.) in April 2018. Prior to the transaction, Bitfarms invested in land and natural resource assets. The investments consisted primarily of iron deposits located in the United States. Bitfarms continues to hold these investments, however, its primary focus is on owning and operating blockchain farms that power the global decentralized financial economy.
† On top of the 23 million shares acquired from Bitfarms, Bitfarms Technologies Ltd. has an additional 17.3 million shares reserved for issuance as part of the original share exchange agreement. Furthermore, Bitfarms Technologies Ltd. anticipates proposing a second share exchange agreement to issue 26.2 million shares for the remaining issued and outstanding shares of Bitfarms.
